LogiGear’s Software Testing and Research Center Opens in Da Nang, Viet Nam

Da Nang City, March 12, 2011 – LogiGear Corporation will officially open its Software Testing and Research Center in the Dana Book Building at 76-78 Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City. The opening ceremony will welcome representatives from Da Nang and Duy Tan University as well as government agencies. “We’re excited to expand LogiGear to Da Nang. The city proves to be an optimal location for our continued push for software testing excellence. The surrounding universities are developing their IT programs and we are honored to participate in that process” says Hung Q. Nguyen, Chairman/CEO of LogiGear.

Investing in human resource growth throughout Viet Nam is one of LogiGear‘s objectives in order to expand its leadership position in outsourced software testing. In anticipation of an explosive business growth and global demand for qualified software testers in Viet Nam, the new facility is expected to employ over a hundred engineers recruited and trained in Da Nang by the end of 2011. It is LogiGear’s goal to develop the Viet Nam software testing community and place the country as the industry’s destination of choice for outsourcing.

Da Nang is a favored city with high professional growth potential due in part to its large population of university students seeking careers in software technology. It is the perfect destination for LogiGear to meet the increasing demands of skilled software testers and the developing software testing industry in Viet Nam.

At the Opening Ceremony, LogiGear will sign agreements with Da Nang University of Technology and Duy Tan University to induct software testing into the official IT course program. In addition, LogiGear will also commence the LogiGear Certified Test Professional (LCTP) courses at both universities’ computer science centers. Senior IT students from the universities will have the opportunity to intern at LogiGear Da Nang.

Similarly, in Ho Chi Minh City, LogiGear continues to work with seven universities and colleges including Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Hoa Sen University, Van Lang University, Huflit University, Saigon University, Technician Education University, Van Xuan College to implement software testing in the official course program. Moreover, LogiGear has designed the LCTP Train the Trainer Course for 23 instructors from the partnered institutions to be completed within three months. Upon completing the course, those instructors will become certified to teach software testing programs. Their qualifications grant them the ability to teach software testing at their universities and computer science centers.
